The Word: One Love

Hey Dolls!  I just thought I’d share some of the inspiration and wisdom that was bestowed on me last night while reading my Bible before bed.  I’ve been trying to put my main focus on the book of Job, but completing a book in the Bible isn’t like completing  a chapter of Hunger Games.  There’s 42 chapters in the book of Job and like 20 + verses in each one…it takes a while.  So I started to look for some more biblical flavor and wandered off into the book of Galatians.  There I began to dig deep into chapter 3:28 where it read, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”  This verse spoke volumes to me and hit me like a ton of bricks.  I mean I know the Bible is deep, but every now and then it just takes me by surprise and knocks me flat on my bum and this was definitely one of those times.  This verse was so profound to me because it simply meant that all of the division and societal separation that we’ve drawn amongst ourselves is totally and completely non existent to God.  So why do we even bother hating ourselves and others over things such as race, ethnicity and gender?  You’ve got men here and there thinking that they’re above women because of the whole Adam and  Eve thing, there’s war in the Middle East where the countries fighting  are practically neighbors, and then you’ve got racial separation between light skinned black people and dark skinned black people which are both, you guessed it… BLACK!  This is a clear example of self hate that is clearly stopping us from being who we need to be as a people and as children of God.   There are not enough days in a year to discuss all that f***edupness that’s going on there within itself.  Because any person in their right mind would know that every race in the crowded US of A except for the Native Americans ( hence the “native’) was either brought here on a ship, a boat, or a plane, yes… even white people.  But my point is that this unity I speak of may never come until God shows up first.  There’s still some faith in me that maybe the human race will surprise me… hell with any luck  at all we may even surprise God and we all know that doesn’t happen often, if at all lol.  But if we can’t have world peace tomorrow which we probably won’t, I still pray that at least one of us will take into consideration  the scripture of Galatians 3:28 and and contemplate, even meditate on the words  so that they may be a permanent mark in all of our hearts and a guide in our journeys to be closer to our creator.  Strive each day to find, hold onto, and keep the love Agape love.   Pretend that it’s some rare, priceless treasure (which it is), and your Indiana Jones, and you’re trying to capture and protect it thus leading to the prevention of the apocalypse and restoration of the human soul.  Because if God is love, what better way to carry out his word than by giving his love to the world?  First starting with ourselves (this is key),then those around us, and next stretch that love out even further into your communities and ultimately to the world.  It only takes one!  Just one person can make that much of a difference.  Look at the impact love has made on our souls, history, and salvation just by one man walking the Earth and sacrificing his life for ours over thousands of years ago.  If we truly are his children than we must try to live by his examples as well. I love y’all, and I hope this inspires and/or brings spiritual gratification to someone out their reading this post.  One Love.

P.S.- Y’all gon have to forgive me for this love fest, the hippy and the spirit of God in my heart have house parties occasionally and as a result… these kinds of post *Kanye shrug* lol.  I hope that you continue to enjoy being enveloped in my cornballness lol.
