Hello there Glamazons! It’s been a long time since I’ve done an Operation Waist Snatching post. I’ve been busy watching what I eat! Ok, well….that’s only half true. LOL! The honest explanation is that I have slacked off a bit. I got bored, actually and kinda slipped back into a more relaxed routine. Before, I was doing that 21 Day Fix thing everyday! I wasn’t eating completely clean, but I as eating better. I did that one and a half times and got bored with it! I then tried walking more as the weather warmed up, and then got sorta bored with that too! The struggle that I find is that I hate redundancy. I get bored very easily and don’t care to do the same thing day in and day out. Especially if its gonna cause me the least bit of discomfort. I’ve gone from working out/exercising 5 days a week to three times a week. I also don’t bother with the whole sweating in my living room anymore thing either. For the three days that I have been moving, I try to move for at least 30 minutes and I’m either biking or walking. Jeff is also teaching me how to play tennis! I have a 5k that I’m supposed to start training for, so the running will be starting back up very soon.
Oh, and then there’s my belly wrap….so, don’t laugh y’all, but Twyla has hidden my Belly wrap, and I CAN’T FIND IT. I saw her wearing it like a skirt over two weeks ago and was all like “you look so pretty Twyla!” She proudly sauntered around the living room, and by the next morning when I went to the living room to retrieve it, it was GONE. It’s like she ate it or something! I checked her toy boxes, under the couches, even the garbage, just in case it annoyed her enough to end up in there. It gone. I know it must be somewhere around here, but I have no idea WHERE. I was seeing such progress too!
The one thing that I HAVE been most diligent with, is my diet though. I will definitely say that since starting this healthy eating kick in January, it hasn’t been that hard for me to stick to eating better! Do I still have sweet tooth cravings? YES! Do I still satiate them with sweets? Absolutely. lol! I am very moderate in my sugar consumption though. I have also been drinking more water. Admittedly, I had a lapse of judgement and went like TWO DAYS on about one liter of water, and got violently ill (had to go to the hospital and get hooked up to an IV and EVERYTHING). I completely forgot to drink, and that’s the God’s honest truth. Sometimes, I get so caught up in writing and editing for thus blog and the YouTube channel, trying to get everything back to were it was, that I completely forget to fuel myself. I’m working on it though! I have been drinking like a fish….wait, do fish drink? At any rate, I have been knocking back bottles of water and Gatorade since then.
Now, I’ve just aired out all of my health goal sins, I think the only way to move forward is to recognize that I need to be doing more (MUCH MORE) physically and continue to focus on eating healthier. So here’s what I’m doing moving forward!
1. Biking more. I actually really enjoy a good biking excursion. Since Jeff bought us cruiser bikes on Easter Sunday, I have been biking every week, at least once, but I can do more. I know I can do more. I want to do more, but since I’m watching Bean 3 days out of the week, I…..sheeeeit, I’m making an excuse. #noexcuses! I’m gonna take that bike out at least twice a week.
2. Walk/Jog more. Last year, before I had the bikes, I power walked my happy ass all up and through Decatur neighborhoods and parks. I enjoyed it, and then it got cold. Now that’s its warm again, I have no excuse not to get out there and get moving. Besides, I have that damn 5K in September! My goal for this year was at least to place at an average time, compared to last years below average. Also, this spring has been giving me some great music to walk to! Sherica recently introduced me to a song about woes that I love walking to. Don’t judge me. LOL!
3. PLAY MORE TENNIS. So Jeff has been teaching me how to play tennis, and I love it! Except for the
occasional several balls that I thwack with the racket and send hurtling at peoples cars, I think I’m well on my way to playing Serena Williams at the Wimbledon! Okay, maybe not, but it’s a hell of a workout, and it’s something new, which will give me a challenge. FINALLY something that’s not redundant and boring!
4. Keep Eating Clean. No, I will not partake in that vegan diet that King Bey is trying to get all us fat people on…ROFL! I’m gonna keep eating like a person who wants to live a long time. More veggies, a limited but larger amount of fruits compared to candy and ice cream, and continue to suck down water!
So there you have it dolls! Kia girl, I been thinking about you! How’re those fitness goals going? You out here looking like a vixen, aintcha? Damn, I need to catch up! LOLOL! How about the rest of you ladies? How do YOU plan to keep fit in these trying times called bikini season?
