Don’t you love the look on Jay’s face like “I wish someone would ask if she’s pregnant….” LOL!

Truth be told, we’ve been a bit heavy handed on the Beyonce stuff, BUT we here in the dollhouse are big fans of the diva, HUGE even. Imagine my utter delight when I read in my news feed  that it has been confirmed that she’s pregnant with Blue Ivy’s sibling!!!! Hurray! Here’s my source:

She has arrived Dolls! With her spunky personality and welcoming smile, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t honored by Ellonia excepting our request to be this month’s Doll on Display.  Ellonia and I crossed paths about 3yrs ago when she quickly became one of the first people  I met when I moved to Tampa.  Upon the first hug I could sense this welcoming, loving vibe about her.   But for this Doll being polite and having a kind heart isn’t a habit, it’s innate.  When she transitioned over to the curly side, I was ecstatic to have someone new to share products with and to discuss similar natural hair woes and accomplishments.  Read on and find out what she uses to maintain her vivacious curls that match her personality and how her life has changed since beginning her journey to natural hair.

1. Where do you reside and what do you do?  I reside in Tampa and I am a server.

2. What was your family’s reaction to you going natural?   My family was very supportive of me going natural.  A few of my family members had already made the choice and was glad when I decided to join the natural crowd.
3. What is one hair product that you cannot do without?  Probably one product I can’t do without is My Shea Moisture Deep treatment masque. It leaves my curls feeling beautifully soft and It doubles as a leave in conditioner.

4. Do you have any hair wisdom you’d like to share with other natural beauties?  Hair wisdom that I’d like to share is to get to know your own hair and embrace it, don’t envy the millions of huge afros and textures out there, focus on having healthy lustrous hair.

5. What is your original hair regimen?  My regimen is I regularly use a leave in conditioner, moisturizer,and oil and braid my hair at night time.

6. What made you decide to go natural?  My decision to go natural was due to my want for healthy hair. Relaxers were making my hair very thin and I wanted hair full of body and most importantly healthy. So I did my research , asked many questions, and a year ago I did the big chop. I’ve never regretted my decision.

7. Who do you look up to for hair inspiration if anyone?  For inspiration I look to the everyday women in my life, friends and family who are natural and proud of it.

The latest victim of my impulsiveness is my hair. It usually is my hair that takes a beating but not to the point where I can’t fix her (yes, I refer to her as a person). Let me tell you how I got my hair into trouble last time.

About two months ago I decided that I was annoyed with my hair because it is at an awkward length. Its too long for wash and goes but too short to put in a ponytail. So, I decided I wanted a sew-in and that I would let a family member do it. For one, I hate sew-ins and usually take them out within the week. Why would I think that this time would be any different? It wasn’t. I was thinking that this would be a nice change from the norm and let her begin the process. By the end of my “sew-in” my head was sore and ugly and my self-esteem was bruised once more. I called my bestie *shout out to her!!!* and she removed the disaster from my head two days later (which took 6 hours by the way…that’s how awful it was!).

Needless to say, that did not stop me from trying things! This time I let my other friend flat iron my hair…….and now there is plenty of heat damage as a result. I love her but I just knew it was a bad idea, but my self-esteem wouldn’t let me rest until I tried something new. I felt that my curly hair was ugly and giving me a hard time. After she finished my hair didn’t stay straight that long and now about 6 ½ inches of hair at the base of my neck won’t curl back. The rest of my hair curls but it’s not springy as it once was.

I’m not upset about it because I know that my impulsive decisions get me in trouble and now I have to pay the consequences. I cut off 3 inches of the damaged hair in the back and will continue to grow and trim until the damaged hair is removed.

The moral of this Dolls is that you should love what you have. Enjoy what you have and who you are because you only get one chance. Work what you have and don’t let anyone or anything (including your own esteem) tell you any different. Hope this helped someone.

…I can’t help but be reminded of that episode on South Park when they remade this song lmbo.

So, here we are…32 weeks in! I could officially pop Bean out any day now up until her due date and be she’d be able to survive on her own. We obviously are hoping that she keeps her lil behind up in there until due time, but it’s nice to know we’ve made it this far. As you can see from the above picture, Bean looks every bit like her father and NOTHING like me….which is fine…hopefully she will inherit my impeccable taste in shoes and great sense of humor . LOL! As we near the end of her sharing my insides, I find myself…conflicted. I am excited to meet her in person, but I am TERRIFIED of what my body has to do in order for that to happen! I have refused to watch any birthing videos because I know that they will do nothing but further freak me out about what’s already inevitable: I have to drop this kid one way or another. Not only am I scared of what my body has to do to get her here, but I’m also concerned with the aftermath! Y’all…what if my lady parts stretch out like an old sweater and don’t snap back?!?!? *look of dread spreads across face* I know that’s vain, but seriously, I torture myself wondering if I’ll have to rejuvenate my “choo choo” post baby because Bean turned out to be a “Big ‘un”! Then there’s the chance of an episiotomy, you know, that thing where they sew your “pocketbook” back together if it gets torn during child birth? Yea. O_o. I can’t find the words. lol! Obviously, none of this will matter once she gets here. I’ll have an entire new batch of stuff to freak out about: breast feeding, making sure she’s in proper sleep position (her back), changing her diaper and not putting it on backwards, vaccinations, not forgetting her anywhere….and that that’s just the first few months of her life! Oy! As you can see, my neurotocism is already settling in, and I’m afraid it won’t get better. LOL! Nevertheless, Jeff and I  are stoked that she’s well on her way into changing our lives for the better and making us even more awesome than we already are. It’ll be cool to have the best parts of both of us walking around and realizing her true potential and purpose in this world . I will be sure to fill y’all in as D-Day (Delivery Day) nears closer! I don’t normally watch  The Game, but after tuning in for the first episode of season 6 and gazing my eyes upon new cast member Jay Ellis… o.O!  Had I not  seen that first episode I would’ve missed on all of his semi- nude chocolatey goodness… Mmmm.  I’m back!  Anyways, the 31 year old hottie was born in Sumter, South Carolina but grew up as the only child to a military family that traveled from Germany to the Philippines. Jay whose real name is Wendell Ellis Jr., did a couple of guest appearances in T.V. series such as “How I Met Your Mother” and “NCIS: Los Angeles” before moving on to ‘The Game’  in which he plays Bryce ‘Blue’ Westbrook .  Do you see these photos displayed above and below this post?  Just take it in, let all of that sexiness  hold you like a little baby.
